Dear Friends,

Under the strengthening of social movements of fight for housing and its actions, the applicability of the Growth Acceleration Program of the Brazilian Government and the approval of provisory measures that favor the habitation sector in Brazil, Habitat para a Humanidade Brasil has planned strategies, is articulating actors and searching for partners and mobilizes communities aiming guarantee to all the access to a decent place to live. This had been our way of acting to use the law to benefit low income families that can’t demand for their rights be respected and, also, who can’t access the news emoluments or housing financing programs.

This month, we will show the results of the Project “40 Days of Solidarity” held in São Leopoldo City, State of Rio Grande do Sul, that has used subsidies granted from Caixa Econômica Federal, the Government Bank of Brazil. Besides, you will know about the alliance with Thrivent Builds, important partner of Habitat all over the world. We will also present the new building project in Abadia de Goiás City, State of Goiás. Finally, we bring information about the publication of the Cause-Related Marketing Guide, which contains a case study about Whirlpool and Habitat for Humanity.

Good Reading and see you next month!

Sincerely,

Ademar de Oliveira Marques
Executive Director
